On January 1, 2026, Delaware State Parks is having First Day hikes statewide. First Day Hikes is a national initiative started by America's State Parks, and all 50 states offer guided & non guided hikes on the first day of the year. 

Trap Pond Partners will be providing a fire pit with build your own s'mores and hot chocolate ☕ ? on the back side of the Nature Center from 8-10am!

The staff at Trap Pond will have 2 interpretive stops, on the American Holly trail, with information on the natural history of the Park from 9-12pm.

Join the movement, take a hike and start the new year off right!
